This position is responsible for managing the marketing and business aspects for TexARTS. This includes marketing and public relations, bookkeeping, media creation, benchmarking, and purchasing.
• Focuses on growing new audiences while nurturing the relationships with current patrons and academy students and families.
• Develops and executes strategies to generate new student enrollments and all earned ticket revenues for TexARTS
• Writes and distributes press releases and follows up with media contacts to generate frequent and consistent publicity
• Creates, writes and coordinates the production and dissemination of all collateral pieces necessary to the theatre’s operations including direct mail pieces, postcards, posters, playbills, t-shirts and print and online advertisements.
• Update, manages, and optimize digital marketing tools including TexARTS website, e-marketing communications, and social media platforms.
• Analyzes and Benchmarks the competitive landscape in the arts to identify trends and new avenues of promotion for TexARTS
• Represents TexARTS at local events, festivals and fairs.
• Collaborates regularly with the Executive Director and Education Manager to ensure a clear and accurate interpretation of the organization’s vision and direction.
• Shapes public perception of TexARTS through execution of brand identity through print communications, publications, electronic media, media relations, public events, and physical spaces.
• Manages annual marketing budget to run all marketing, publicity, and graphic design efforts.
• Collaborates with other staff to improve the patrons’ experience of the theater.
• Drives Box Office sales and ensures excellent customer service.
• Works closely with theatre’s leadership, and board committee on coordination and execution of annual benefit gala and fundraising plans.
• Tracks all bills and invoices – Obtains payment authorization and ensures invoices are paid on time.
• Coordinates and synchronizes Quickbooks. Posts and transacts tuition, private lessons, and master classes
• Oversees accuracy of bank deposit documentation and makes bank deposits.
• Ensures all end of the year tax information 1099’s get to contractors.
• Manages Front of House Box Office and concessions during productions.
• Oversees the donation database and acknowledgments
• Coordinates volunteers to assist with Front of House and various marketing activities.

• A minimum of two years marketing experience, preferably with a performing arts nonprofit.
• A genuine interest in and knowledge of the theatre and arts education
• Accounting/Bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Must be proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Constant Contact (or a comparable e-marketing system)
• Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize workflow, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform on a small team, while working independently. Must be a team player in an energetic office environment
• Must possess integrity and great customer focus
