Life As We Knew It // a group exhibit about extinction for WEST Austin Studio Tour
Art.Science.Gallery. is seeking submissions of artworks about extinction, extinct species and extinct-in-the-wild species as one part of a special two-part exhibition about biodiversity and extinction.
Submissions for the exhibit about biodiversity titled Life As We Know It have already been made and the show is currently on display at the main Art.Science.Gallery. location at 916 Springdale Rd. This open call is for the extinction exhibit only. Submissions for the exhibit about extinct or extinct in the wild species titled Life As We Knew It will be reviewed for a pop-up exhibit at a satellite gallery location for the 6th Annual WEST Austin Studio Tour, stop #303 (May 13-14 & 20-21, 2017).
Make sure to send us your art submissions by Friday, April 28, 2017! Submissions may be in any medium and preference will be given to works that address modern or ancient anthropogenic causes of extinction.

This special two-part exhibition will fulfill Art.Science.Gallery.’s missions of supporting emerging and established artists, engaging our community in the sciences through the visual arts, and providing a space for artists and scientists to forge new and collaborative relationships.
