Inspire Community Fine Art Center is a 501© 3 that creates and celebrates the arts as a force for education and healing across San Antonio’s diverse cultural communities. We bring arts to local hospitals, schools, and community centers. In addition, we teach classes and workshops at our center. It’s an exciting time to join Inspire: Now in our 12th year, we are transitioning to an exciting model for local artists to participate in a co-op to teach at our center. Further, we are expanding to a second location in Southtown.

Overview: The Client Relations Manager furthers the mission of Inspire Community Fine Arts Center by
• building and deepening relationships with our community partners, potential donors, co-op members, students, and the general public.
• ensuring that office runs smoothly in order to provide excellent customer service
• assisting with fundraising activities, such as grants writing, events management

Reports to: Executive Director

Major duties:

Building relationships:
• Write engaging group emails targeting potential clients and donors using Constant Contact.
• Maintain website
• Provide content for social media.
• Provide content to community partners as needed.
• Grow and maintain customer relations database.

Office Management:
• Act as registrar during registration periods as needed.
• Communicate with public and co-op members regarding issues associated with classes.
• Create monthly reports on class attendance and budget spend down
• Invoice community partners and co-op members
• Process appropriate invoices for students and instructors

• Plan and assist with fundraising events such as Big Give, Juried Art Show, and other events.
• Secure small, private donors (ads, in-kind donations, and prize money) for events
• Work with Executive Director to research and write grants

Important: As part of a small office staff, this person will be asked to do other duties as assigned.

Potential candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in the following.

• Collaborating with many different potential clients, including potential donors, community organizations, artists, and members of the public.
• Creating engaging pieces of marketing collateral including email, web, social media, and print media (posters, postcards, invitations)
• Experience with graphic design
• Planning fundraising events, particularly exhibits
• Securing corporate, individual sponsorships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work in a community classroom like setting, where distractions tend to be higher.
• Flexibility of mindset—you may start the morning with an Excel worksheet, and end the day by face painting.

Knowledge of the following software:
• MS Office (Word, Excel, etc)
• Quickbooks
• social media
• Salesforce
• Simple web design programs like Weebly, Joomla, etc.

Additional requirements:
• Because we work in schools and hospitals, all applicants will be required to pass a background check and provide proof of immunizations.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience managing grants from government sources and private foundations.
• Experience teaching the arts at any level
• Experience community organizing
• Experience working with cooperatives
• Ability to take pictures, or videography
• Ability to use Creative Suite
• Bilingual (Spanish and English).

• $15/hr (contract), 20 hours a week.
• It is hoped that this position will grow to full-time salaried position within a year.
