The Individual Giving Associate is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all solicitation and cultivation efforts for donors who give up to $1,000 annually. S/he will coordinate and shape strategic planning for the Alley Theatre’s end-of-season and end-of-year annual fund campaigns and is responsible for the timely execution of all activities required to achieve each campaign’s revenue and participation goals. This position will also be responsible for running four patron events each year.

• Assist with the creation of a strategic plan for the end-of-season (EOS) and end-of-year (EOY) annual fundraising campaigns that includes an integrated communication plan and key messaging. Execute all mass-communication activities required to achieve EOS and EOY fundraising goals.
• Coordinate annual fund renewal efforts for the Individual Giving team: work with portfolio owners on a monthly basis to draft and send out renewal letters and mass e-mails; responsible for additional follow-up efforts for annual fund donors who give less than $1,000 each year.
• Send out invitations, coordinate, and orchestrate four Individual Giving events each year (two working rehearsals and two insider events).
• Manage all aspects of the Alley’s sustainer program (monthly giving), including solicitation efforts and reporting.
• Oversee specific donor acquisition efforts targeting single ticket buyers and subscribers who add small donations to their ticket purchases.
• Coordinate all donor mass communication efforts for the Individual Giving team, including the distribution of the organization’s donor newsletter, and annual reports.
• Work evening and weekend patron events with intent to build relationships with Alley Theatre donors. Events include Greenroom duty, Centerstage dinners, insider patron events, and rehearsals.
• Meet stated financial goals.

• BA/BS Degree in related field
• Self-motivated, detail oriented professional with an ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail is required
• Database skills required; working knowledge of Tessitura a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and variety of computer applications
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Effectively prioritize tasks and manage time
• Possess strong grammar, spelling, and proofreading abilities
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and diplomatic abilities
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team-oriented organization
• Ability to represent the Alley Theatre in an appropriate manner (internally and externally)
