This part-time position (30 hrs/week) is multi-faceted and requires an understanding of current practices in arts management, customer service, and community engagement. This position requires diplomacy, time management skills, and the ability to take on multiple tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in arts administration, museum administration, business, visual, literary or performing arts, or equivalent field
• 1+ years of experience preferred or equivalent training in non-profit arts administration or sales
• Exceptional listener and communicator who can convey information effectively both verbally and in writing
• Passionate about LHUCA’s mission and vision
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate renters’ needs
• Ability to be available after hours to troubleshoot with LHUCA Associates
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and contract workers
• Familiarity with MS Office and other software

Responsibilities:
• Reports to the Executive Director
• Handles phone, email, and in-person inquiries from organizations and individuals
• Meets with prospective renters and presents properties
• Solicits specific needs from renters, negotiates fees, and prepares contracts
• Coordinates with Office Manager in securing rental deposits and payments
• Staff selected large-scale rental or LHUCA events, working some evenings and weekends
• Hires LHUCA associates, bartender and security for rental and LHUCA events
• Provides detailed floorplans, renter’s checklists, and contact information to staff
• Works with the Custodian, First Friday Art Trail Coordinator, and Program Coordinator for set up and take down of rental and LHUCA events
• Assists with marketing efforts for LHUCA’s programs, as appropriate
• Represents LHUCA at special events and meetings in the community
• Additional duties as assigned
Salary is commensurate with experience.
