Garland’s Big Art Day – Call for Artists

Big Art Day is a spring arts festival produced in collaboration with the Garland Cultural Arts Commission, Inc., Garland Independent School District, and Visit Garland with support from the City of Garland. Big Art Day celebrates and showcases artists and the arts in Garland. Visitors to Big Art Day can view and purchase work at the Art Market, explore exhibits at Granville Arts Center, participate in interactive hands-on crafts for kids, and enjoy live entertainment.

Big Art Day – Art Market at the Atrium
Saturday, April 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Participating artists receive:
* Indoor display space with a table and chairs
* Comprehensive event marketing
* Artist spotlights on social media

Artist requirements:
* $40 artist site fee made payable to GCAC, Inc.
* Must display work that falls within defined artwork categories
* Agree to Terms and Conditions

Important Dates:
Jan 1 – Application opens
Feb 15 – Application deadline
Feb 20 – Artist notification
Feb 28 – Site fee must be received
Mar 31 – Load-in available from 3:00 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Apr 1 – Load-in available from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Apr 1 – Art Market opens at 11:00 a.m.

Selection Process – Big Art Day encourages artists of all ages, backgrounds, and media to submit an application. Due to space limitations, artist selection will include representation from a variety of artwork categories. GCAC, Inc. will lead artist selection.
