Information | Campus: Lubbock, TX Position Description Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operations and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgement. The Director of Finance and Administration is a member of the college’s leadership team and is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of TCVPA, including budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, and compliance with institutional, state and federal regulations. The position requires a strong understanding of financial management principles, analytical skills, and a strategic mindset to support the goals of the college. This individual will coordinate with the college’s business managers, work closely with departmental leaders, and report directly to the Dean of the college. Major/Essential Functions • Financial Oversight & Budgeting: Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of annual budgets for the college and its schools. Forecast revenue and expenses and provide financial analysis to ensure the college remains within budgetary constraints. Collaborate with Associate Deans and School Directors to align financial resources with academic and operational goals. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
