JOB TITLE: Director of Marketing
REPORTS TO: General Manager

OBJECTIVE: Create, develop and execute marketing initiatives to increase ticket sales, donor base, corporate involvement, and student enrollment. Oversee all marketing and community relations activities to support subscriber relationships, audience and donor development, volunteer and corporate support.

HOURS: Full time exempt. Office Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
Evening and Weekend hours as needed based on production schedule

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
• Create & implement marketing plan that includes Broadway & Children’s Theatre seasons, Reid Cabaret series, educational programs & branding. Plan includes paid, trade and grass roots initiatives
• Manage advertising budgets
• Coordinate directly with the director of development to:
• Solicit and develop corporate sponsorship program
• Develop audience and subscriber benefits
• Increase board member involvement
• Coordinate directly with education department for artist activities (talk backs, community outreach)
• Coordinate with production department for PR events
• Maintain working relationships with media outlets
• Research trends in the industry and adapt them to the performing arts model
• Ensure marketing and PR initiatives are diverse and support the mission of Casa Mañana, reaching everyone in our community
• Supervise art director, digital media specialist, sales and box office teams
• Other duties as assigned by general manager

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations, communications, special events or non-profit management or equivalent work experience

SKILLS:
Ambitiously creative; excellent organizational, interpersonal, supervisory and communications skills; a reputation for accuracy, responsiveness, meticulous attention to detail and follow-up; highly organized and self-motivated; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and email marketing, social media and web content platforms; ticketing system knowledge preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Five or more years in marketing, public relations, communications, special events or related field with at least 2 years in management. Non-profit and/or performing arts experience preferred.
