As a key member of the six member development team for ZACH Theatre, the Individual Giving Manager is responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of ZACH’s individual donors and meeting fundraising goals for annual individual giving campaigns. The Individual Giving Manager manages the Individual Giving Coordinator and works closely with board trustees and executive leadership on planning and fundraising for individual giving campaigns and projects. Key responsibilities include design and implementation of fundraising strategy, solicitation of gifts, maintenance of donor relationships, and benefit fulfillment. Works flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

● Maintains income and expense goals for all annual individual giving campaigns and projects including but not limited to Annual Fund Membership, Friends of Education, Amplify Austin, Giving Tuesday, and ZACH’s Summer Raffle
● Develops, executes, and tracks fundraising strategy, benefits and stewardship plans and provides regular progress reports to executive leadership
● Leads prospect research and coordinates solicitations including direct mail, telefundraising, subscription, box office, and email
● Implements stewardship of annual fund donor benefits across various channels including but not limited to print and digital recognition, concierge ticketing, donor lounge access, parking, events, etc.
● Executes individual giving cultivation and stewardship events including but not limited to donor working rehearsals, Act One nights, annual Director’s Circle Dinner and Great Scotts Party
● Oversees Individual, Board, and other assigned funds’ development functionality in Tessitura CRM database, including but not limited to constituent entry, gift processing, list management, individual in-kind donations, and other fundraising initiatives
● In collaboration with the marking department, oversees development and execution of Individual Giving marketing collateral and communication plans, including gift solicitations, gift acknowledgments, benefit invitations, and other communication touchpoints
● Provides leadership for and serves as staff liaison for Board Membership Committee and Act One Host Committee

● Other duties as assigned by management.
● Must be able to stand for long periods, listen and talk on the phone, perform work on a computer, interact with patrons, and lift up to 30 pounds.
● Frequent night and weekend work.

● Bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years of experience in Nonprofit Development is required.
● Experience with Individual Giving is required. Experience in fundraising for the arts and experience within a not-for-profit theatre or arts organization is preferred.
● Experience with high-level donor interaction (ie. board member, major funder) is preferred. Including leading and managing committee members, volunteers and donors.
● Strong preference for candidates with relevant experience in the arts and working knowledge of donor/CRM software. (eg: Tessitura, Raiser’s Edge, etc.)

● Professional and personable demeanor with superior time management and attention to detail.
● Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills, including donor solicitation and acknowledgment.
● Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize goals and shifting priorities. Ability to continually develop and refine processes for maximum efficiency.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment (within the development department, as well as other administrative and programmatic areas).
● Excellent analytical skills; someone who can maximize database functionality, troubleshoot processes and identify donor trends.
● Demonstrated clear understanding of nonprofit fundraising skills, donor relations, prospect research, and event planning. Strong working knowledge of the Development function within a performing arts organization.
● Proficient in all Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated thorough understanding of donor/CRM software (e.g. Tessitura, Raiser’s Edge, etc.). Knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign a plus.

ESTIMATED SALARY RANGE: $45,000 – $52,000
