The Philanthropy Officer supports HGOs Institutional Giving (corporate, foundation and government) fundraising efforts by managing a portfolio of institutional donors and overseeing the strategic management of HGOs corporate partnership program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage portfolio of primarily corporate donors, assuming responsibility for those relationships (portfolio will include government, foundation, and individual supporters as well). Develop unique and creative touchpoints to steward these leadership donors, customizing benefits packages to deliver business value, reporting on the impact of their gifts, and soliciting for renewed and increased support each season.
Lead corporate prospecting efforts and manage the activity of HGOs Corporate Council, a set of HGO Trustees and Board members representing HGOs corporate partners. Maintain a list of priority corporate prospects and strategize on garnering key introductions.
Work with Institutional Giving Operations Manager to track, complete, and submit all proposals and reports for corporate supporters.
Collaborate with Operations Manager to fulfill corporate benefits and recognition, including on-site hosting opportunities, off-site events, logo coverage, social media posts, etc.
Assist Director with management of key institutional donor relationships. This includes joining the Director on fundraising visits, taking the lead on benefits and recognition follow-up after visits, creating cultivation and stewardship steps, and brainstorming upgrade strategy.
Staff corporate partner events and assist with other development events as needed.

Bachelors degree with 5 or more years of experience in fundraising, sales, relationship management/customer/client service, or a related field. Must have demonstrated ability to implement and manage projects involving multiple departments. Requires proven excellent written and verbal communication skills. Requires some night and weekend work.
