POSITION SUMMARY:
The ZACH North Performing Arts School Coordinator assists with all administrative duties for ZACH’s North campus (14010 US 183 Suite 540, Austin, Texas 78717) including helping to manage camps and classes, overseeing building maintenance, and providing efficient and friendly service to guests of ZACH Theatre. The North Performing Arts School Coordinator also aides in administrative tasks, daily operations, and strategic planning of the Education Department. This position will start as temporary for summer camp, June 7 – August 13, 2021, with the hope of becoming permanent in the Fall of 2021.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Manage the logistics for ZACH North Performing Arts School Classes and Camps
B. Oversee the registration process, including the update of the database, delegation of registration duties, and tracking of revenue
C. Effectively communicate with families, students and teachers
D. Facilitate classes and camps as needed.
E. Assists with teaching and subbing theatre arts classes
F. Submitting invoices for teaching artists and securing subs for teaching artists.
G. Recruit, select, supervise and evaluate teaching staff of classes; recruit, hire, train and manage interns and apprentice teachers for the classes
H. Explore new and creative ways to maximize use of ZACH North Facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
A. May be required to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.
B. Must work a schedule including Evenings (Monday through Thursday) and Saturdays,
C. Must be able to work in a shared office space.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A. High school diploma required; BA in Theatre or Education preferred.
B. At least 1 year of education, theatre, or customer service experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
A. General knowledge of marketing strategies for specialized audiences such as children, families, and schools
B. Working knowledge about theatre for youth
C. Working knowledge in basic computer software including Microsoft and Google Suite.
D. Working knowledge of attracting, interviewing, hiring, and developing staff
E. Working knowledge of curriculum design and development
F. Working knowledge of training teachers, including but not limited to classroom pedagogy, classroom management, and supervision for a variety of ages.
G. Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication,
H. Ability to work individually and as a team member
I. Ability to meet deadlines within a fast paced environment
J. Ability to remain calm in high pressure situations such as parent conflicts or managing large numbers of students.
