The music of Beto and the Fairlanes, the ‘international band of Texas,’ is a magical, cross-cultural incantation of salsa, jazz, rock, and Latin influences with irresistible dance rhythms and visions of the tropics. With Beto and the Fairlanes’ hard-driving percussion, high-flying horns, and Beto’s natural sense of fun and humor, you feel the excitement, celebration, and romance of traditions, north and south, meeting in the melodies and beat of their music. Beto and the Fairlanes tours with an 8- to 10-piece Latin-influenced ensemble, including horns, guitar, drums, percussion, bass, and keys. The repertoire includes original Latin, jazz, and jazz/rock tunes. The band has been voted into the Music Hall of Fame in Austin, honored with a star on the walk of fame in Corpus Christi, and featured on Austin City Limits. Photo by Jessie Rodriguez.
