The Marketing & Communication Coordinator advances and strengthens the College of Fine Arts’ reputation and visibility with preferred stakeholders by identifying and publicizing reputation-defining people, events and activities that support TCU and the College of Fine Arts brand. The primary role of the Coordinator is to lead, plan, direct and implement overall marketing and communication strategies to ensure a consistent position among faculty, staff, students, donors and other preferred audiences.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:

Implements strategic marketing and communication plan to advance College of Fine Arts brand with key constituents in alignment with TCU brand and university initiatives; identifies and implements metrics to assure ongoing success of plan; drive results.

Oversees digital communications (owned/shared/digital signage) at college-level; assists in development and integration of content (written/images/video) across all College of Fine Arts digital platforms, including college and school/departmental websites; coordinates social media postings with University account for increased intensity.

In conjunction with TCU Marketing & Communication, coordinates media and public relations initiatives and event management as needed; identifies and pitches faculty thought leaders/stories to key media (social/traditional).

Ensures consistency of the College’s message across marketing and communication materials.

Oversees feature writing for the College of Fine Arts newsletter, and other college, school and department level marketing and communication materials as assigned; edit materials to reflect Associated Press/TCU writing guidelines.

Serves as account executive and supports the College’s internal marketing and communications working group by overseeing the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communications projects via main project management system utilized by TCU Marketing and Communication.

Works with Advancement Communications and TCU Marketing and Communications to develop appropriate marketing and communication materials for fundraising initiatives and projects.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, advertising, public relations, communications or related field of study.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience in fine arts marketing and communication; audience development and event promotion experience a plus.

Familiarity with copyright protocols/policies for the arts.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of digital technologies and strategic use of social media.

Skill in strong interpersonal communications and high customer service standards.

Knowledge of Content Management Systems.

Knowledge of graphic design with proficiency in Adobe In-Design.

Skill in strong oral and written communication.

Ability to oversee details of projects.

Ability to integrate digital communications and marketing.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
