Call for Art – Soul Art Renewal

Soul Art Renewal is a multi-gallery and multi-media celebration of art and artists in response to the COVID-19 pandemic that will be display at GDAC in Summer 2021. The project’s aim is to focus on healing, hope, and community resilience and renewal in response to the impact the pandemic has had on the arts community. The project includes a catalog which will feature all the works presented in the exhibitions and programming in support of the exhibition and community healing and renewal.

There is no fee for entry for any of the calls for entry. Each call has its own deadline based on when the exhibition opens in their individual galleries. Calls will go up as they are ready to receive entries.

An exhibition celebrating artwork created during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic by Denton artists. Artists explore their individual responses to the pandemic through created works that speak together in the space like our individual experiences speak to one another in our broader community. Artwork will be included in a catalog for the project printed this summer.

Art must be created by artists living or working in Denton County.
Any media of visual art except photography is welcome as long as it is less that 75 pounds.
Work must have been created in 2020 or 2021 and fit the theme of the exhibition.
