| Information | Freedom Tree Park Sculpture The Missouri City Arts & Culture Commission is pleased to announce a Call for Artists for a sculpture to be located in the future Freedom Tree Park expansion. The selected artwork will be located in the southwest portion of the park and be visible from Misty Hallow Drive. Suggestions for possible subject matters are a depiction of Missouri City’s history, climate, or culture. Interested artists must submit a digital or sketched rendering of the proposed sculpture. A resume or links to images of the artist’s previous work is required. Please also submit a budget that includes all costs (materials, labor, structural engineering, installation, and estimate of maintenance to upkeep art piece). Artists selected for the second round of evaluations may be asked to submit a 3D model of the proposed design and/or a scaled drawing with the model to show how the art piece fits into the park design. The selected artist will pay for the construction and be responsible for the installation of the artwork.
