Vocal Majority Chorus
The Vocal Majority is a chorus of more than 100 volunteer singers united by a shared love of harmony and performance. These men come from all walks of life, bringing varied musical backgrounds but a common passion for creating extraordinary music together. For over 50 years, the Vocal Majority has delighted audiences around the world with its rich sound and emotional delivery. The Vocal Majority has performed throughout Texas, the United States, and internationally. They are 14-time Gold Medal winners of the Barbershop Harmony Society chorus competition. The chorus has performed pro bono for high school choir programs, as well as a benefit concert for victims of the Texas Hill Country floods where nearly $52,000 was raised. In addition, the chorus supports Power of Harmony, a program that brings music to incarcerated youth at the Gainesville (Texas) State School. As a previous Texas Touring Roster member, they have performed for the Plano, Irving, and San Angelo symphonies, and have traveled to Crockett, Greenville, Tyler, and Kilgore. The Vocal Majority has recorded 25 albums, showcasing a diverse repertoire spanning classic barbershop, Broadway favorites, jazz standards, pops, patriotic, sacred, and holiday music. Vocal Majority recordings are available on all major streaming platforms. Photo by Andy Whalen.
