The Kimbell Art Museum is currently accepting applications for Local Lens: Analog Photography Showcase taking place Saturday, December 12, 2026, in collaboration with Courtesy of, a Dallas-based curatorial project founded by Jesse Jackson IV and Katherine Stephens which focuses on lens-based art. The showcase is open to both amateur and professional photographers who work with analog photography techniques, including but not limited to film, wet plate, cyanotype, and other traditional processes.
Six artists will be selected and invited to display examples of their finished work, as well as artifacts of their processes, and engage with museum visitors to share information about their work. Each will receive a $150 honorarium. Artists are not required to be based in the DFW area but must be able to attend the showcase event in person on Saturday, December 12.
