Description

Conspirare is a GRAMMY Award-winning choir and nonprofit performing arts and music education organization. Craig Hella Johnson & Conspirare are known for through-composed programs that marry music and poetry to seamlessly blend sacred and secular, classical and contemporary, calling us into a deeper experience of who we truly are through world-class performances, recordings, and commissions. Conspirare was established in 1991 in Austin, Texas and includes two ensembles. Conspirare: A Company of Voices is the GRAMMY Award-winning professional ensemble comprised of some of the finest singers in the country and committed to creating dynamic choral art through performance, recording, and teaching. Conspirare Symphonic Choir is a choir of volunteer singers who audition and perform great choral masterworks and new music. Programs: Conspirare Christmas breaks down the conventional boundaries of pop, classical, folk and seasonal favorites, revealing the music’s essence and embracing our shared humanity. The Big Sing provides free community singing opportunities held at public places like schools. In-classroom master classes by one or more Conspirare artists are often offered in conjunction with a concert. Other programs vary by season. Photo by Cassy Weyendt.
