Diaz Music Institute

Diaz Music Institute (DMI) is a Houston-based nonprofit producing and touring organization that delivers high-quality music performances and arts education programs for communities across Texas. Grounded in Latin jazz and American music traditions, DMI offers flexible, presenter-ready programming designed for schools, libraries, community organizations, theaters, and festivals. DMI supports a range of performance scales and audience needs. Caliente, DMI’s nationally recognized youth Latin jazz ensemble, is offered through the Texas Touring Roster and is ideal for educational and community settings. Programs may be presented as concerts, interactive performances, or combined with curriculum-aligned workshops and master classes. Touring programs are fully self-contained, with clear technical riders, adaptable instrumentation, and straightforward fee structures. DMI works closely with presenters to ensure accessibility, logistical efficiency, and strong audience engagement, including bilingual presentation options when appropriate.
