Description
Good Hearted Entertainment has been presenting family-friendly performances featuring puppetry, clowning and magic for 20+ years. Based in the Austin area, the current offerings feature Sock Monkey Circus, a full circus in miniature featuring marionettes and moving-mouth puppets! Clown host ‘Funny Honey’ is outsmarted by her clever monkeys, who are trained to juggle, dance, and swing on a flying trapeze! Complete with miniature train car, this show debuted in Shanghai during fall 2017 with the International Clown Comedy Festival, and is now available to Texas audiences. Stewie’s Magic Hat, developed with support from a Jim Henson Foundation Family Grant, uses rod and hand puppets to tell the tale of a young boy challenged to follow the family tradition or pave his own path. The story features magical messes, musical dragons, and many more amusements to help Stewie make the most of his talents! WORD PLAY is a literacy-based puppet show in which two friends clown around with giant letters on a journey though the alphabet. Good Hearted Entertainment believes in goodhearted fun for everyone, focusing on entertainment, workshops, and educational programming for guests three years old to 103 years young. Spanish/English programming is also available. Photo by Kirk Marsh.
