Hope Shiver

Hope Shiver Soprano/Storyteller Hope Shiver enjoys a varied and diverse career having performed in opera, music theater, legitimate theater, commercials, voiceovers and film. A former Miss Alabama and Miss Congeniality in the Miss International Beauty Pageant, Ms. Shiver is a native of Mobile, Alabama and has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Music degree from the University of Oregon, both in vocal performance. Ms. Shiver's original programs Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth and King Rhythm are very popular in schools and communities. In addition, she has performed nationally and internationally numerous times with the USO in Greenland, Iceland and Newfoundland and with Houston Grand Opera in Egypt, France, Italy, Japan, and Spain. A consummate teacher, choral director, and vocal competition judge, Hope Shiver has 20 years teaching experience at Trinity Valley Community College, University of Texas at Tyler, College of the Mainland, and Houston City College, Central. Hope Shiver is a resident of Houston, Texas along with her husband, musician/actor David Keepman. Ms. Shiver is on the artist rosters of Young Audiences of Houston and Northeast Texas.
