Light Crust Doughboys featuring Marek Eneti

52871014

Light Crust Doughboys featuring Marek Eneti present Texas country and western swing music rooted in one of the most influential traditions in American music. Founded in 1931, the Light Crust Doughboys are among the longest-running bands in the United States and played a central role in shaping western swing and Texas dance-music culture. The current touring ensemble represents a living continuation of this legacy, combining historically significant repertoire with Texas country, country blues, Deep Ellum traditions, and gospel music. Featured violinist and fiddler Marek Eneti brings a distinctive musical voice shaped by classical training and American roots traditions, blending technical refinement with rhythmic drive, improvisation, and dynamic ensemble interplay. A centerpiece of the touring program is The Light Crust Doughboys 95th Anniversary Show Band Revue, which has been presented at universities, theaters, historic venues, and community spaces across Texas. The program balances historical context with engaging presentation and strong audience connection. Available performance formats include a full ensemble revue, trio, and duo configurations. Each format adapts to venue size and budget while maintaining artistic quality, stylistic authenticity, and accessibility for diverse audiences, including seniors and individuals with disabilities.
