Description
Magic in the Library with magician Bronson Chadwick produces literacy-themed magic performances that encourage elementary students to become better readers and excel in language arts. Each onstage magic routine illustrates helpful hints that kids can use in the classroom and in the real world. Bronson uses magic effects to teach topics such as fiction versus nonfiction, literary genres, literary mediums, how to write a one-page paper, how to break down long passages on standardized tests, how to find books and literary mediums that appeal to the individual, and more. These object lessons are taught with classical sleight-of-hand, and mechanical/theatrical prop illusions as well. After the performance (depending on the audience and client) a hands-on magic learning workshop is included. Photo by Tom Steele Photography.
