Pamela Hart is a highly respected jazz vocalist based in Austin, Texas, known for her rich tone, expressive phrasing, and deep commitment to the jazz tradition. Recognized by Austin Woman Magazine as "Austin's First Lady of Jazz," Hart has devoted more than 25 years to performing, preserving, and advancing jazz for diverse audiences throughout Texas. Equally in intimate solo, duet or jazz combo settings or leading an all-star ensemble or orchestra, Pamela Hart is a versatile artist available for concert halls, festivals, museums, schools, cabaret venues, fundraisers, and community events. Her repertoire draws from the Great American Songbook, swing, blues, bebop, and jazz standards, delivered with musical integrity, warmth, and strong audience connection. Hart is co-producer of the annual Women in Jazz Concert Series and serves as Executive Director of Women in Jazz Association, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to jazz performance, education, and cultural preservation. She presents vocal performance workshops, lecture-demonstrations, and masterclasses, and offers private coaching for developing vocalists. Committed to community engagement, Hart leads the Uplift Jazz Project, bringing live jazz to senior centers and nursing homes. She was inducted into the Austin Jazz Society Hall of Fame in 2018 and released her recording Happy Talk in 2021. Photo by ATX Digital Photography.
