Sue Foley
GRAMMY Award-nominee and 5x Blues Music Award winner, Sue Foley is a virtual triple threat as a lead guitarist, singer and songwriter. Foley spent her early years in Austin, TX recording for the esteemed record label Antone's. Foley tours extensively worldwide with her band and as a solo acoustic artist. Whether it's a festival audience of 10,000, an intimate listening room gathering or delivering her solo show about female pioneering guitar women to a university classroom, her breadth of knowledge and technique are unmatched. Workshops on Texas Blues history, Women in Guitar, songwriting, and guitar techniques are also offered. Examples include the world music workshop with Vieux Farka Toure and Sona Jobarteh at The Edmonton Folk Festival, and her solo acoustic presentation at the Notodden Blues Festival in Norway. A 5x Blues Music Award winner "Traditional Blues Female Artist (Koko Taylor Award)" 2025/24/23/22/20, her GRAMMY Award-nominated album One Guitar Woman won "Best Traditional Acoustic Album" at the 2025 Blues Music Awards. Foley has shared the stage with greats like B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan and Billy F Gibbons.
