The award-winning recipe for the Texas Gypsies is to perform the vintage jazzy swingin’ cool crooning hep cat sounds of the ’20s-’30s-’40s along with a taste of its sister sound western swing, some Gypsy jazz magic sprinkled over the top, and finish up with a high energy bowl of retro deco rhythm! The band mixes a blazing horn section, rocking-swinging guitars, slapping upright bass, passionate violin, and retro style drumming to harmoniously create their own unique and fun sound! They offer several different shows with the Roaring ’20s Great Gatsby show being very popular with presenters over the last several years. The band has toured this show in the US and internationally! They can perform shows from a four-piece combo to a 12-piece big band to fit within presenters’ various budgets. The band will dress in vintage 20’s-30’s costumes for their shows.
